Transportation

Midweek transportation will be determined prior to the start of the winter. The MWV Ski Team works in conjunction with Fryeburg Academy to provide transportation for our skiers.

Ages: U16, U18, U21

Our full-time program allows athletes to train multiple days a week with an emphasis on skill and character development. Our coaches design a schedule that balances academic workloads, on-hill performance, strength and conditioning, and goal setting.

Each season our winter schedule is designed around effective training strategies in preparation for races targeted by our coaching staff. Our focus is on performance, quality and rest.

Winter Schedule

Schedules are constantly changing in our sport—we encourage all our athletes and families to be flexible and patient throughout the season.

Mondays throughout the season are a scheduled “OFF” day. Occasionally we will utilize Monday afternoons if significant weather is coming in later in the week. Midweek training schedules are released every Sunday or Monday.

Most athletes arrive at the mountain around 1 p.m. Athletes will warm up and inspect before moving to drill work, free skiing or training gates. On-hill training concludes around 4 p.m., but timing will vary based on the off-hill training schedule (strength and conditioning on Tuesdays  and Thursdays, video, tuning, etc.).

On-hill Training Schedule:

Monday: OFF

Tuesday–Friday: 1–4pm

*Note: Timing will vary depending on off-hill training schedule and weather.
